The problem we are facing

Fashion has three issues: 1. Overproduction and Overconsumption fueled for endless growth 2. Usage of materials that pollute the planet, human bodies and harm animals 3. Exploitative labour practices that exploit the hands that make Jiwya is changing this with our very existence and our soil-to-soil ecosystem.

Product description

Jiwya is created to solve the multifold problem with fashion, with our disruptive and soil-to-soil ecosystem as supply chain.

  1. Everything we produce at Jiwya used 100% plants- fibres, yarns, colour, buttons, embelisshment, packaging and even the stitching thread. Thus eliminating the use of any harmful chemicals, synthetic plastic fibres, animal materials and toxic dyes.
  2. We are zero-waste and zero-discharge in our production.
  3. We are hyperlocal and slow-intentionally. Every single raw material is produced locally in India and with partners we know personally. Our produciton numbers are always publicly listed. We work with 150+ grassroot art clusters to create of hand woven artisnal fabrics.
  4. We close the loop with our Re:Jiwya program.

Thus creating fashion that is good for you and the planet. Investment pieces that honour the hand that make and the perosn who wears, without compromising on deisgn and expression.

About the Company

Jiwya is a 100% plant-based luxury fashion brand – every piece crafted without a single drop of synthetic dyes, or an ounce of plastic or animal products. Our heirloom pieces come from the soil, and go back to the soil completely. Our belief is that clothes must be good for you and good for the planet. We source our raw materials from 150+ artisan clusters across the country, and then create our heritage designs moulded to global styles in-house. We work only with handlooms – no extractive or mass production whatsoever. The production is zero-waste, zero-discharge and proudly handmade, with established EPR systems through our program of lifetime repair and revamp. We have recently launched our latest SS26 collection – Katidha – at the London Fashion Week, and are present across stores in NYC, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, and of course, India.
