The Biophilic Design Masterclass is a self-paced online course structured into clearly defined modules that guide learners from foundational concepts to practical application in the built environment. The course combines science, design frameworks, and real-world case studies to enable immediate and meaningful implementation.

Module 1 – Nature’s Wisdom and Biophilic Design Principles
This module introduces the origins, purpose, and core principles of biophilic design. Learners explore why humans are biologically connected to nature, understand key terminology, and clarify related fields such as sustainability, regenerative design, and biomimicry.

Module 2 – The Science Behind Biophilic Design
This module focuses on the evidence-based benefits of biophilic design. Participants examine environmental, psychological, social, and economic impacts, and learn how to interpret and communicate impact data to support design decisions.

Module 3 – Biophilic Design in Practice: Frameworks and Patterns
Learners dive into practical application by studying established frameworks and design patterns. Through global case studies, participants learn to identify biophilic elements—both visible and hidden—and understand best practices across diverse contexts.

Delivered through short videos, quizzes, and curated resources, the course is fully online and accessible worldwide. Participants receive a certificate of completion and gain access to a global biophilic design learning community.

Participants will gain a practical understanding of biophilic design principles and how to apply them in real projects. Learners will be able to identify biophilic patterns in the built environment, articulate the environmental and human benefits of nature-integrated design, and confidently incorporate biophilic strategies into their professional or personal work.
