 What you’ll learn — and be able to do after completing the certification 

Across 12 structured modules, you’ll learn how to assess water risks holistically and apply insights where they matter most — in business, government, and finance. You’ll work with the full Water Risk Assessment Blueprint, understand when (and when not) to use screening tools, and assess water resources, infrastructure, and governance risks. You’ll learn how to run end-to-end water risk assessments, influence decision-makers with clear, credible insights, and translate risk findings into collective action and effective water strategies.

By the end of the certification, you will be able to:

• Prioritise water-risk hotspots across sites, cities, basins, and portfolios

• Assess in-depth water-risk exposure using a structured, repeatable, and defensible methodology

• Translate complex findings into strategic and financial implications that decision-makers act on

• Design feasible, cost-effective water strategies, knowing which stakeholders to involve and when collective action is required

Throughout the program, you will complete your own end-to-end Water Risk Assessment, following detailed step-by-step guidance and using the proprietary templates provided in each module. You will receive direct feedback from the trainer, Jennifer Moeller-Gulland, ensuring your assessment meets professional standards.

Your completed assessment serves as proof of your skills for employers and clients and is required to receive the CPD-accredited certification (final exam).
