Product description

The agrivoltaic solution developed under ReENE Shizen Farm (a JV with Tokyu Land and Obihiro University) installs vertical solar panels over farmland to simultaneously generate electricity and support agriculture. In early 2025, a pilot vertical solar installation (708 kW) was deployed at Obihiro University to test yield optimization and energy output. This approach preserves arable land, enables local clean energy production, and demonstrates stable agrivoltaic performance year-round. The system leverages ground reflection and tailored panel orientation to match agricultural sunlight needs while providing renewable power. The project models “local production for local consumption” in Hokkaido, integrating clean energy with community resilience. This agrivoltaic solution aligns with carbon‑neutral goals, supports regional development, and serves as a replicable model combining sustainable food production with renewable energy — advancing Shizen Energy’s mission to co‑create a 100% renewable future.
