About the Company

AGREKA BUILD is a pioneering climate-tech company redefining construction by transforming agricultural waste into high-performance, low-carbon construction materials. Our breakthrough material innovations are already being deployed in live projects, creating skilled green jobs, unlocking new revenue streams for UK farmers, and positioning the UK as a global leader in regenerative, circular construction. Our technology, WHEATEX®, is a natural fibre insulation board made entirely from waste crop straw that would otherwise be incinerated or end up in landfill. Our material is unique as it is completely free from petrochemicals & synthetic binders. It is primarily used in construction, however, it has potential in other applications beyond construction such as industrial & premium packaging, furniture production, horticulture etc. In just 18 months, we secured ~£900,000 in private investment & innovation funding, won international prizes & backing from Innovate UK, DESNZ, DEFRA, Royce Institute & Somerset House.
