Product description
The patented modular StormCrate system is a flagship ERS SuDS solution designed to address the critical issue of managing stormwater runoff in urban areas. The system consists of interlocking underground cells that capture, store, detain, and harvest stormwater beneath the surface, providing a sustainable and efficient solution to prevent flooding and protect waterways.
Supplied in kit form made from lightweight panels, the StormCrate system is easy to install without the need for heavy machinery or skilled labor. Water enters the system through a permeable surface or filter separator, ensuring that only clean water is stored in the crates. The 100% recycled polypropylene material used in the system is engineered for strength, with independent laboratory testing confirming its load capacity for various applications.
The high void ratio of the crates allows for rapid infiltration and efficient storage of stormwater, enabling groundwater recharge or water reuse. The modular design provides flexibility for engineers to scale the system up or down and integrate it into existing drainage infrastructure. The StormCrate system has been successfully deployed on major infrastructure projects worldwide, demonstrating its durability, predictability, and effectiveness in reducing flooding and protecting urban water systems.
Key characteristics and environmental benefits
